ShopIn.ie – – was officially launched on the 27th August 2009

It  has been designed to promote Local Businesses and provide Community support by

Designing a website  that lets the business control how much advertising they want to do,

We have built a website that each registered business can use to ensure they are always getting the best attention over the internet. You the business control your section on ShopIn.ie.

ShopIn was setup because we wanted more from a Business support and advertising than just a listing !

Maureen first came up with the concept, when she was running her own businesses and saw that there was little or no practical support to grow local businesses and encourage people to shop in their own town.

Advertising was also out of reach for many Businesses due to the added expense.

“I had been running my own boutique in Athenry for many years as well as my Image Consultancy and when the credit crunch hit, it became clear that local businesses were really on their own.

A support like ShopIn.ie, which tells people the type of businesses that are available in their home town as well as offering Business support to stay afloat and grow would have been invaluable to me.”

Quite a lot of Businesses are registered on Business Directories all over the country investing their money in sites that no one really knows about.

And at the end of the day a Directory is just a Directory where no matter what you pay you will only be found if someone is looking for you.
